Grant Thornton-Krush Bikes-Tunap Sports kicks off 2021 season in Healthy Ageing Tour
An international squad will travel to the north of the Netherlands for Grant Thornton-Krush Bikes-Tunap Sports’s first race of the 2021 season: the Healthy Ageing Tour!
The experienced Czechian rider Melissa van Neck will make her race debut for our team. Clara Lundmark, Daniek Hengeveld and Nathalie Eklund make their first race kilometres as part of a UCI team. Marissa Baks and Quinty Ton, who both start their third year with the team, complete the exciting six rider line-up.
The Healthy Ageing Tour opens with a flat stage on the famous motorsports circuit of Assen. Day two is an individual time trial near Lauwersoog. The tree day stage race will be concluded with a tough final stage with multiple ascents of the VAM-Berg.
“It will be our first race in our new Biemme kit and I’m very excited to go racing in it” says Marissa Baks. “With a race like the Healthy Ageing Tour, you just know it will be tough. The plan is to show ourselves to the world and to take whatever we can get. I think it is fantastic that this beautiful race can be organised in these challenging times!”
Eurosport Player, GCN+, Podium TV and Dagblad van het Noorden will show live images of the 2021 Healthy Ageing Tour. After the live broadcast of Tirreno-Adriatico, Eurosport will also show the final hour of the race each day.
