Preview: 2020 Dutch U17 & U19 time trial championships
Sunday the 13th of September 2020, the riders of the TALENT Elabo Development Team will take part in the Dutch time trial championships. A 15,8 kilometre long course between Chaam and Ulvenhout awaits – a nice testing opportunity for the riders.
In TALENT Elabo Development Team’s education program, riders learn about all aspects of cycling. Course recon is just one of the subjects. A few weeks ago Phaedra Krol, sportive director, rode the Dutch time trial championships course with some riders of the U17 and U19 squad.
“In time trials, it’s all about details. A good course recon can make huge differences”, Krol know. “That’s why we already had a good look around on the course. It was a very valuable day; the girls have learned a lot and that can only be a good thing.”
The course will have a total length of 15,8 kilometres. The course consists of long straights, with a few corners in between.
The U17 category starts at 11.30 CET. Lisa van Belle, Zoë van Velzen and Nina Maathuis will represent TALENT Elabo Development Team. Marit Wasus, Carola van de Wetering and Norah Minck will ride the time trial in the U19 category.
